Silvia Ruiz Bardon is Director of Commerce, Restaurants and Food Services at Barcelona City Council. A career civil servant with a degree in Law, she holds a postgraduate qualification in Cooperative and Savings Economics, as well as specialised training in leadership and team management.
Throughout her professional career, she has held positions of responsibility in both the public and private sectors, taking on various management roles, including Head of the Tax Resources Service at the Institut Municipal d’Hisenda de Barcelona.
She currently leads strategic projects aimed at strengthening competitiveness, innovation and sustainability across local retail, hospitality and food sectors, as well as initiatives to drive sector transformation linked to the European Capital of Local Trade 2026.
