Joanna Zawistowska works at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) in Brussels, in the unit responsible for internal market services, including retail. Her work focuses on European retail policy and supporting small retailers through the green and digital transitions. She contributes to initiatives such as collaboration with the OECD, measures under the Single Market Strategy, and the European Capitals of Small Retail initiative, which recognises cities committed to supporting small retailers and fostering vibrant city centres.
