He holds a PhD in Geography (2011), with a thesis on urban transformations in Catalonia’s regional capitals, and is an Associate Professor of Human Geography at the University of Barcelona. Drawing on urban political economy, his research explores how changes in retail, consumption and logistics reshape cities. He has led the URBANSOSTEN LOCALRETAILBCN project, which focuses on Barcelona’s metropolitan commercial districts.
