Xavier holds a degree in Geography and History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a postgraduate qualification in Urban Retail Development and Promotion from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He is Head of the Local Retail Support Section within the Commerce Services Department at Diputació de Barcelona.
Alongside his role in public administration, he also teaches on the Postgraduate Programme in Marketing and Sales Management at the University of Girona.
